Registration fees are tiered according to the country your institution is based in
Tier 1, SGD $200: OECD countries, EU countries, Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, Taiwan
Tier 2, SGD $150: China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Thailand
Tier 3, SGD $100: All other countries
Student, SGD $50: Independent scholars (unaffiliated to any institution) and graduate students
Registration fees cover 3 box lunches, the welcome cocktail reception, and mid-morning and mid-afternoon coffee breaks. Fees also cover the conference programme booklet. There will be a conference dinner for members (included in registration fee) and non-members who purchase the dinner ticket.
Existing IACS Society members and participants who sign up as Society members during the registration are entitled to a SGD $30 discount off the Tiers 1-3 registration fees, and SGD $15 discount off student registration fees.
Registration for the conference will open on 1st March 2013. The fees will be collected through online credit card payment on this website. Conference participants must register by 1st April 2013.
Limited grants for registration and accommodation will be given out to applicants from institutions based in Tier 3 countries on a case-by-case basis. Application will open with the registration.
Accommodation:
Participants are responsible for making their own arrangements for accommodation in Singapore. Public transportation is convenient and inexpensive in Singapore. Traveling to the conference venue, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, would take 15-20 minutes by taxi from the recommended hotels. We will be providing a single-trip bus service from the recommended hotels to campus in the morning and and from campus to the hotels in the evening of each conference day.
We will be block-booking 200 inexpensive, air-conditioned single rooms and 200 rooms without air-conditioners at the Prince George’s Park Residences on campus.Priority will be given to graduate student participants, and participants from institutions based in Tier 2 and Tier 3 countries on a first-come-first-served basis. Application for these rooms will open with registration.
We will also be reserving 200 mid-priced hotel rooms in 4 recommended hotels close to the city centre, about 20 minutes away from campus in good traffic conditions. These rooms are reserved on discounted corporate rates and will be gradually taken back 3 months before the conference or are available only on a first-come-first-served basis. Please book early.
