To encourage critical scholarship in inter-Asia cultural studies, the IACS Society has set up the IACS Dissertation Prize, granted every two years, to recognize and honor the emerging and exciting research in the field. To enter this competition, dissertations will have to be nominated by the Ph.D. candidate’s advisor or by a scholar in the field. The successful dissertation will demonstrate engagement with IACS scholarship, emphasizing an attempt at advancing inter-Asia methodologies and knowledge production on the local, regional, and/or transnational registers.
We are currently calling for nominations for the 2025 IACS Dissertation Prize.
